BTW, the public schools in Los Angeles are contemplating making Cesar Chavez day a holiday with no school.
They are doing that because a very large percentage of the students are planning to take that day off. The effect will probably cost the schools so much money it would not be worth it to stay open on that day.
The mayor of Los Angeles (antonio villaraigosa) says we should be building bridges and re-uniting the families who have been split up by immigration. He regularly participates in pro-illegal immigrant marches and protests.
So I ask you, who is really in charge?
