"Drugs" is an aspiration?
Maybe the author is on point.

I thought that was too strange, so I kept reading the comments - recap:

Oh, come on Shelley, I know this blog is pure by now but let me give you a tip: ignore the work of Satan! Everyone can look up Aspyr\’s homepage and read the real text: \”Create and play your own virtual sitcom by choosing one of five different aspirations – Popularity, Fortune, Family, Knowledge, and Romance.\” But then of course, you wouldn\’t want any of those things taught to children. Knowledge is after all the fastest way away from religion ;-)

On the other hand, you equate family with drugs, knowledge with liberalism and romance with sex thus telling the world that family is evil and you can only have knowledge if you are liberal. Good one, that’s really deep insight wrapped in fundy language ;-)

Chuck, Shelly appears to be a entertaining nut job - from what little I've read, don't know anything about her than what is in this single entry. Don't take anything she has said to be accurate in any form, not unless you want to look silly too.
I can be silly too, looks like the image I hot-linked could be a fake.

I think that those screenshots are of modified versions of the game. You get modders who edit the game files, in this case to remove the blurring around naked Sims and add that weird, transparent bikini woman.
The second screenshot isn’t even the same game. The face modelling is different, there is bloom and the Sims doesn’t have sex scenes.
“Aspyr Media, Inc., the maker of the Sims”
I think Maxis made the game, Aspyr are the publishers.
“Second: This disgusts me, this is not how Americans live their life. Who gives Aspyr the right to deny the right of children to learn about God’s creation of mankind?”
Games allow children and adults to simulate something they would not otherwise be able to do in real life. God damn woman, give them a break. Not all games have to teach us how the world works.
“On the other hand “The Sims” exists merely to communicate liberal lifestyles to our teens.”
No it doesn’t. It’s a game! In the same way that Monopoly or snakes and ladders is a game!
Right, Battlefield 2. Good or bad?

I am pretty sure that these pictures are either modified or come from a fake version of The Sims… I think there would have been a lot more protest against that game if there were to be seen scenes like that.. Shelley, may I ask where you got this information from or why it came to your mind to write about that game years after it was published? Please answer, I am really interested!

Wayne, I've seen far worse written in the Pelican O.T., but don't go changing anything .
