We did a 3 week vacation last year with our three year old. Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne. Didn't make it to the outback, and frankly don't regret it. The Aussies are well aware of their natural wonders, and make a lot of cool things available to city dwellers. Fantastic zoos and animal parks abound.
Do you really want to drive? The distances are rather large....
Quantas has a deal that includes the flight to AU and 3 internal hops for one price. I think we paid about $1500, cheap when you consider current fuel costs.
So much to write about....I'm uber busy getting ready for the week....I'll write more details later.
AU is a fantastic country, the people are wonderful, and it is kid friendly.
