To answer previous questions, the Red Sox currently have the best record in baseball, despite losing 5 of their last 6 games. This is only their 2nd notable losing streak this year.
Even with the current streak, the Red Sox have won about 20 more games than they have lost. Compare this to the Yankees, who have currently lost more games than they have won. The Red Sox have a 10.5 game lead over Toronto in their division, and a 11-game lead over the Yankees.
No, the Red Sox do not suck. They are not playing particularly well right now, but there are no big red flags that have fans worrying; they've lost the last couple games by one run, and against good pitching.
