It's on the china wheels as well. Does that mean it's OK ??
Here's some general info on the spec:
"Creating International StandardsSAE J2530 is similar to the testing stan-dards outlined by the Safety FoundationIncorporated (SFI) but is more comprehen-sive and, for the first time, creates interna-tionally accepted testing standards for after-market wheels. “The bottom line is thatthese new specifications will dramaticallyimprove basic U.S. standards for aftermarketwheels,” said Austin. “It puts our standardson equal footing with the rest of the world.”The new SAE J2530 specifications createinternationally accepted testing standards forthe U.S. that are on the same level as Japan’s JWL and Germany’s TÜV testing standards.Domestically, these new specifications bringthe same testing rigors to aftermarket wheelsthat have been followed by OEM suppliersfor years"
"SAE J2530, Aftermarket WheelsPerformance Requirements and TestingProcedures, was adopted in March. It out-lines testing guidelines for aftermarketwheels. This SAE Recommended Practiceprovides performance and sampling require-ments, testing procedures and markingrequirements for aftermarket wheels used oncars, light trucks and multi-purpose vehicles. The document outlines three main areas oftesting, including cornering fatigue, radialfatigue (driving in a straight line) and impact strength."
