I agree.
I lived out in NM for a bit and I survived the 100 degree summers driving an air-cooled VW without A/C. Tinted windows made a big difference.
Also it's a lot cheaper to run a "Swamp" cooler then traditional A/C.
It's a lot harder for me to breath in NC when it's 85 degrees with 90% humidity.
