I got the quick disconnects, but I find I'm not using them much. I've started just disconnecting the clips that hook to the helmet. It takes a little practice to get quick at it, but it's not bad. I think the quick disconnects will be better to have in place during an emergency, though. I plan to extend the tethers to the chin of my helmet so I don't have to fumble around for them, just swipe both hands down the sides of you helmet, and they disconnect.
