Not sure what you guys are saying? If you live in the United States and are an American citizen you are suppsoed to do what? Foreswear any identification to your ethnic heritage? Why? For what? Someone's arbitrary understanding of....? Loyalty? Correctivness?

You're not supposed to take offense when some knucklehead uses ethnic or even blatnently racistslurs against other people that look JUST LIKE YOU....why? The person would call YOU the same name. They don't see you as any different than anyone else who looks like you - from their point of view, of course.How is not liking being called names or being ethnically or racially stereotyped and SAYING SO, "pulling" some kind of "card"? If that is what you're saying I think you are "pulling" the "oh isn't he sensitive" card.

Maybe you DON'T identify with an ethnic or racial heritage so it is harder for you to understand someone who does?
