I've had ~20 bee stings in my life. The last sting (2 years ago) knocked me on my butt. I went into mild shock, swelled up, muscles locked, stomach seized, and was profusely sweating. Spent 4 hours in the ER with various drugs/IVs before they were comfortable sending me home. Next sting very well might kill me they warned. I used to carry around an EpiPen but they are difficult to maintain (avoid heat) and expensive. I now carry around a bottle of Benedryl. Hopefully I don't get stung again...
