Recently my '84 944 NA blew the lower radiator hose. The nearest safe haven was a Honda dealer. The dealer replaced the hose, fluid, thermostat, gasket and o-ring. (at the tune of $237). I made sure the dealer used phosphate free anti-freeze and bled the head using the pressure test method. However, since then I have noticed during stop and go traffic the temperature will rise about 1/2 bar. As soon as I reach 40 mph cruising it goes down. I have bled the air out of the cooling system until I no longer get any air at all. This has helped. The primary fan is functional and continues to run after the car is turned off. However, I do not think the second fan is working. Is there a way to test the second fan to determine if the problem is the fan ($200) or the terma-switch ($20)?
