Sounds like Wayne is onto something, but I agree that this "smells" more like a corrupted db, etc. than a MySQL architecture issue, based upon my own "end user" experiences. Any issues with MySQL (assuming it hasn't been upgraded/modied lately) would have been there since the git-go, and this performance degradation happened almost "over night" a few weeks back. I know we're probably not helping you Wayne, but it gives us something to chat about instead of politics
