Guys,

No one seems to want to post that they are ready to jump on a plane with a flight crew who have smoked something recently? Wonder why?

Perscription medications can be abused, as can any substance. Never said that they could not. What I have an issue with is with someone saying "its my right to get high" then having a job that possibly impairs safety to the public.

You want to fix computers while high, or after smoking your head off the night before, fine. Cops smoking? Well they are asking to first off die if their reaction times are reduced, and second accidently hurt or kill someone. Think that they will not have a drug test after a shooting, especially one where there are questions or issues??

I could care less if the WalMart greeter smokes pot. For some funny reason no one has posted yet that they will trust their pilot, train engineer, bus or taxi driver to preform their jobs after getting ripped.

Finally I need to tell everyone why I feel so strongly about this. My first wife used to roll two joints at night in the bedroom. She would smoke one at night then another when she woke up. She did this for the 15 years that I knew her and the last time I was in touch with her was still getting high. She is a CPA and owns her own business so who cares, right. Reason why I hate it is that seeing the change in her, and other friends I have who have been a long time pot user are dramatic. Memory, especially short term is terrible, she hacks and coughs (does not smoke cigs) and is just generally lethargic. It is a hell of a waste of a person IMHO and hope she is happy...
