There was the Bionic Boy and even a Bionic Dog. Talk about whoring a concept.
It's the same with "All In The Family" or "Mary Tyler Moore" -- look at all the shows those two spawned, each progressively worse than the last.
"All In The Family" wasn't even an original production. It was lifted off a British comedy, "Till Death Do Us Part."
