I thought Bangle was done with BMW, or rather, BMW was done with Bangle. I read somewhere that the latest 3-series was the first post Bangle car for the company. If he's gone, it's with good reason. The current 5-series is hideous.
At any rate, sure, the M1 was iconic. But keep in mind over 25 yrs. later, this 1 Series coupe has 33 more horsepower than the stock M1, "might" handle and brake better with newer materials (brakes, tires), and as far as "high school girls" driving the 1 Series, so what? I've seen high school girls driving M3s.
