Hi All,
I'm a newbie to the group and have been looking for a 69-73 911 for about 8 months now, recently becoming more and more serious. I have come across a 1971 911t 70k miles #'s matching for around 10.5k. The seller is semi-knowledgeable on the car and has had it in storage for the past 5 years, owning it for a total of 15. There is no documentation on the car. The car is located 9 hours away driving and I just don't have the time to go see it. The seller was pretty insistent that I come see and drive the car, but was unwilling to drive it to a prepurchase inspection, although he said I could gladly take it to one if I came. Any suggestions to grab this puppy without getting burned? Others who have faced this problem, how did you resolve?
