They're simply being diligent about who's coming into the club.
I heard that they had a rash of applicants who were trying to get into the club after buying those "special" Porsches we all hear about on e-bay. There were lots of complains from members. Why they even had someone try to gain membership using a 1/18 scale model!
Hey wait a minute, how do we know that you are not a poser? For example you state you have a 930. Perhaps a 930 built on a VW pan?

Really its a simple case of their canned response not quite conveying what they intended it to convey. 2-4 weeks reposnse is the norm. No worries.
