You don't need to get the Kit with all the oil and dye unless you feel the system has a leak. If so, have the system vacuum. If the system just needs a charge you can get a 1 Lb.s can with the gauge with it and induce it. I did that to mine 2000 S as mentioned even on 90 degree day its ice cold. In most cases a 1lb. of charge will do.
