Mark, I was just at Misinipe a month ago on the way back from Reindeer Lake. Nothing like jigging for lunkers in 800' of water(Deep Bay).
Did you try Otter Rapids just a few km's from Misinipe? You don't get the big spawners there but I've never seen fish bite like that place - you'll get eight fish every ten casts I swear.
If you're ever this way again, my cousin runs a fishing excursion company and his 700hp jet boat will take you places the Indians don't even know about(and float planes won't land)- with absoloutely mind blowing action. Lemme know!
