I'm in the process of refinishing the interior under my front hood due to battery leaks and corrosion from both batteries.
I've drained the acid down to minimum levels, but still having leakage issues and find myself continually washing the acid off the hood interior. Sure, a battery malfunction could be causing the overflows (or it's my crazy driving).
After refinishing the internal I want to move to maintenance free batteries.
Can anyone recommend a solution? What is the best gel cell battery to use in an early 911? Do I need two, or can I get by on one? I would prefer to keep them in the batt boxes so the spare tire still fits in.
These would be perfect, but you can't get them in the US.
