Screw F1. Who needs it?

Actually, IIRC the favored track of those polled was Laguna Seca.
You NASCAR naysayers really crack me up. I don't see how anyone can deny that the race at the Glen today was not more exciting than any professional event held there in recent memory. And was viewed by more spectators, both in person and on TV, than any other race there.
Granted, some of the sanctioning body rules are annoying and directed at fan entertainment rather than racing as a pure objective. But to deny that these guys are really talented is absurd. Do I tghink that any of them could strap into a F1 car and be competitive...ptobably not with maybe the exception of Stewart and Gordon....and then only in their younger days.
There's a reason why the Montoyas and Carpentiers and Papis are trying to get rides. And it ain't about easy money. They're race car drivers who want to race in a highly competitive series.
Finally...all of you who want to compare it to WWF, give it a rest. (Although I do think Streits quote "Cautions are the nascar equivalent of WWF folding chairs " is too funny). Why don't you make the proper analogy: Nascar is the NFL to F1's World Cup Soccer.
Think about it
