It sprays out as a liquid, then sets up as a clear semi-flexible coating, almost like a heavy laquer. Once dry, the coating will abrade, and is not meant for fittings to be lubricated, or to be used under a lubricated surface. It is primarily meant for exposed hardware or surfaces. I'm using it on some zinc hardware under the car (that can't readily be seen), and I sprayed my banana arm bolts with it. Also used it on the soft metal brake line pipe from res. to the master cyl.

FWIW: there's Boeshield, made by Boeing. It's probably the closest thing to Grady's "Techtyl" that is available in spray cans in stores and online, without having to buy 1000 gallons at a time. Boeshield is supposed to spray out as a liquid/lubricant, then sets up as a waxy coating.
I might have to buy a can for my torsion bar tube. What do you think guys?
