You see it's a little lower than center, and it sticks down into the 'lip' where the bumper and body meets. It's about 2 inches too low.
The PO of my car had one of those 'PORSCHE' lenses installed. It was cheaper for me to get a new lighted plate holder, than put the plate back to its correct position. Actually, the center lens is growing on me, especially after I noticed that the original spot isn't the best either.
Back to the subject: kinda funny to see our tailights on the other cars!

Hmmm. I went out and looked at the 944 and the license plate was perfectly centered.
