My girlfriend and I traveled over 1200 miles with this setup. RKA saddlebags, Marsee tankbag and a Axio tailbag strapped to a Givi rack. The Axio tailbag will work as a backrest to for your pillion. I also bought a used Sargent seat and it is much better than stock for comfort on the long hauls. Also if you are riding with a pillion the grip mat you buy to place under area rugs at Home Depot works great at keeping your pillion from sliding forward. (best $4 I ever spent). Just cut and staple it to the underside of the seat. I realize with the softbags you give up security and the threat of getting your clothes soaked is also there but I only go touring in the summertime and most of the time I park in a safe area. Besides nobody wants my old stinky clothes!!!
