I took thin (no more than 1") boards of styrofoam and cut them to fit around the empty space of my trays once I had all of my tools in place (sockets, wrenches, . . the little crap that gets messy). I didn't even make them fancy, just straight cuts the simply held things in place. Works great as long as you'll clean them and put them away after your done.
