Question

Joe R,
What's wrong with the central mounted bellcrank with straight rods that operate the throttles? I have that on one of my cars and find it operates smoothly.. When the cross bar linkage came out, many years ago, bug and Porsche owners may have flocked to it because they thought it looked kinda trick. Recent owners of bugs and teeners (the last ten years), for the most part, have not been aware that anything but the "expensive" cross bar linkage existed. I didn't either, til I bought a teener out of a barn in Tallahassee, early last year. Now, I buy new, simple bellcrank throttle mechanisms from Applebee for a third of the CB Performance trick "hex bar".
Am I wrong about this?
Phil
