I would agree the corbin is a less than spectacular design, but in my opinion it is not flimsy or lack in the provision of ergo and security. The bar that is in the back rest I have could support the entire bike... the under seat bracket is strong, and the rest angle is adjustable. For the weight and the price, it had better be strong.
I don't have a good pic of mine, but this was posted by another member when I was asking about it, and it is very similar to mine.
