Art is purely subjective. I have a fairly significant art collection and I don't give a cr@p what anyone else thinks about my stuff. It's for my enjoyment.

Earlier this Summer, I discovered a photograph I owned had appreciated 70X since I bought it and decided that the money would be more useful in the short term. I presume most of the art I own has appreciated. For the most part, I don't care, because that's not what it's about.

I feel sorry for folks who aren't touched by art or music.
