He's on to it. The only thing is that it is looking for a file "1" most of the time, when Office has an issue like this, it usually asks for the "data.msi" file.

You can try and go to Control Panel, look for the "Add/Remove Windows components" and uncheck (uninstall) the Microsoft fax service. Although, it may ask you to insert a disk as well
