Yep they were Merlins. For some reason I thought they had a variation of the Lancaster with Griffins to carry the 20K lb. loads, Wallis bombs..Dam Busters. Thanks for the correction. I generally know what I'm talking about!
I do believe the rest of my rhetoric is reasonable..
If I were to dogfight I would fly a P-51. If I were straffing trains I would fly a Jug (P-47) No question about it. In the Pacific the Bearcat would beat um hand down...
