The engine did come out a crashed 79 targa and was the original engine w/ 160k on odometer. Sorry for not sharing that info 1st however I have been in panick mode as when I inspected the engine, these were coveved in grease, I didnt see them. THEN I get it back to the shop and voila!! Holly sh^t what did I buy went screamin' through my brain!!
Anyway, the intent is to build a 3.0 RSR w/carbs. So I will be tearing it down, HOWEVER, if anyone can shed light on who and/or when this was rebuilt, I would like to know. (I hate to even think it, but it has crossed my mind that, "oh no...could this be a MM rebuild = boat anchor??")
Henry or any engine builder, any input??
