This thread reminded me of a funny incident last fall when the fancy Bosch oven at my cousins' cabin locked itself shut w/ a roast chicken inside. Apparently it locks in the self-cleaning mode and the circuitry somehow fried or malfunctioned when some guests were using the cabin who were unfamiliar w/ the oven.
We tried to open it later for them, I was up a couple of weeks later and he casually mentioned the stuck bird in oven. At least it was fully-cooked and did not start a fire. They eventually threw it away and replaced it, could never get it open or get a repair person to rural Wisconsin(?)
