I have used Ad-aware for a number of years and started noticing that the internet was getting slower. Someone suggested I
also run Spybot. It is a free download just like AAW. Spybot found a few things AAW didn't I now run both on a regular basis.
Also, consider blocking cookies (or at least setting IE to reject Google cookies). 99% of the time, cookies are NOT needed. I have mine set on block and I change it just long enough to get a cookie that I want (like Pelican
