OK... With the help of this forum I managed to locate and get more info on my system. It is a v2.2 with the MSI chip (8x8 fuel map) as well as the MSII daughterboard (12x12 map)).
I have included a couple of pics of my engine to answer some of 911MAC's questions.
I would like to try my best before I take the carb route
