Porsche leadership is planning to double its income in the next 5 years, i.e. from 10 billion dollars planned for this year to 21.3 billion dollars planned for 2012. Annual sale is supposed to rise in the same period from 99,000 to almost 200,000 cars, Business Week reports.
Porsche`s success is best described by the fact that it earns around 28,000 euro per one sold car, while Volkswagen, for instance, makes 332 euro.
In 1992, Porsche was a step away from bankruptcy and analysts prognosed that Porsche will never survive. But, last year, Porsche purchased a control package in Volkswagen, wold`s fourth car manufacturer.
High-performance models and quality fabrication are credited for these results, as well as “affordable” prices.
