That's what I don't understand. Many people on here own SUVs, so why not a Cayanne that is much more fun to drive? Many own sports sedans, why not a Panamera to give the M5 a run for it's money? Porsche is a company, they're in it to make money. Fortunately they are able to do so while building some very desirable cars.
The old-schoolers need to face facts. Selling parts to support your SC will not keep Porsche in the black.
