the short answer is that even though the car was in top form with a DE-inspired suspension, fixed-backs, great paint, 103K mile very strong motor including SW chip, M&K exhaust, etc., the car itself had 245K miles on it. Everything was done right with no expense spared, but the mileage killed it.
No one even came close to purchasing it for it's value I placed at $13K, so I parted it and made close to twice the amount of many offers, $8 - $9K.
I sold it versus the E since this car is so easily replicable, whereas the E is a fairly special car.
