Are you trying to say that Treos do not do Push e-mail? Treos can do push e-mail in 1 of 2 ways. They can use Exchange Active Synch, and it works very well. They can also use "Blackberry Connect". This software turns the Treo into a blackberry.
BlackBerry vs. Treo. It all depends on what you want to do. The Blackberry is probably better at Push e-mail, because it is designed for that as it's primary mission. The Treo is far more versatile. Can you FTP files from your server with your blackberry? How about connect to the corporate VPN? Check personal e-mail using a separate program from work? Listen to Voice messages?
They are different. I wouldn't try to use a Blackberry as a substitute for a laptop. We have Blackberries at work. I choose a Treo 680.
