So when you get ready to "plow under" N.O. remember this. One half of the grain exported by the USA passes right by me. 40% of all the oil used by the USA does too. 25% of the US seafood supply comes from right down here on the bayou, as does 25% of the coffee the country drinks.

So get out your map & sharpie and draw those dividing lines between LA, OC, Burbank, etc a little darker. The rest of us just see Metro Los Angeles. By the way, I live in Metairie, not N.O., and it's primarily rebuilt. I'm apparently just not quite as embarrased as you.
