I wouldn't avoid taking it to preserve the "low mileage" if thats all you're worried about.

But if I DID take it, I'd make sure it was checked out seven wayas from Sunday, have a very long haul roadside assistance plan in hand (AAA?). Take tools and spare DME relay, fuel pump relay, make sure you have a good large fire extinguisher, cell phone, etc.
