That's false economy. Replacing a clutch is a big job, lots of hours. You have 20 years of age; once you take this apart you will find more issues.

If / when you do replace it I would go with the spring loaded type rather than the rubber type. Rubber tends to age, rot and decay. This causes more problems. Don't know how long you plan to keep the car but the last thing I would want to do is tear this thing 18-24 months down the road to do it again.
