Actually, the drum set looks a little like Phil Collin's, but a mirror image. Too bad the ape couldn't play along accurately with the admittedly simple track. I've always considered Phil Collins to be one of my favorite drummers and influences (when I used to play). He's an excellent example of a guy who's fully capable of putting a lot of notes out there and being busy (kind of like Niel Pert) especially if he wants to, like in Genesis's early days. Speaking of wierd, there isn't much wierder then an early Genesis stage show!





And how about this drum line-up, Phil Collins AND Bill Bruford!


From that he evolved to the famous stripped down, compressed drum sound which he developed for a number of tracks on Peter Garbriel's face melting album, starting with the first track: "Intruder"


(Note that this is a 2007 recording with someone else playing the drums.
