This is a customer service issue. Jobs made a decision, the customers got pissed, he responded. All business. To bring in mention of a philanthropic entity is specious.

brilliance to knock off $200 in the first 2 months, and then play catch-up with his PO'd, but zombie-like loyal, customers. Will in store $100 credit be enough? --not a "brilliant" move, IMO. YMMV
