I just picked up a '67 912 for $2000. It has 180,000 miles with 20k on a rebuild. It is in decent shape and didn't take too much to get it from a two cylinder to a four cylinder.

Part of the reason I got it was because of the similarities (engine wise) to my 70 vw bus. 912's are pretty simple and parts seem fairly easy to find. I think it sounds like a good deal (provided it's not rusted out underneath).
