As to your list, 1) I believe the new 50-state turbodiesels will begin to populate CA in the next couple years. I don't think every car company (except GM, Ford and maybe Chrysler - go figure
), would invest billions into building these engines, partly for the U.S. market. 2) Charcoal lighter fluid - the best ribs and chicken comes from South-Central L.A. - same with 3) guns, and 4) wood-burning fireplaces are big in the San Fernando Valley (where it's cold in winter), and half the area is pissed it's going under a new area code (747), I wouldn't, at least, mess anymore with the SFV.
Otherwise, who cares? All is good as long as we have the Prius.
