Does anyone else here understand how dangerous Hydrogen is? Anyone else know its UEL and LEL?
Hydrogen has the widest Upper and Lower Explosive limits and the widest upper and lower flamability limts. It is also fairly unique in that is has a reverse Joule-Thompson effect. Most gasses, when they go through a pressure drop, the temperature goes down. With hydrogen, it goes up. If the pressure is high enough, a leak will auto-ignite. To store enough hydrogen you will have to have it under extreme pressure, or keep it cryogenically liquid. Good luck on the second one! Boiling point is 20 Kelvin, aka -423 F or -253 C. Abosolute Zero is -459.69 and -273.15 C.
I love it when politicians try to mandate things which have no basis in reality.
