... In fact, I do want to change the ignition system, and for that I bought an Ignitor kit... But I met some trouble and I'm trying to solve this issue with Pertronix

Anyway, I don't think my dist.cam is worn, but with the former points, in order to prevent backfires and holes, I had to hardly reduce the points gap (largely less than specifications)... what can be responsible for that?
I can't test anything until this week-end, because I'm detailing my engine, and the distributor, injectors,coil, Cd box, fan housing and Fan are off the car
....
