I've seen Jorma (Hot Tuna) several times over the past few years. While their mainstream recognition is from the 60s with the Airplane, Jorma & Jack have been doing "the other end of the spectrum" with Hot Tuna since 70. One show was all acoustic, with Jorma, Jack and a mandolin great (Barry Mitterhoff?) all seated on stage and they proceeded to play one of the most enjoyable shows I've seen in recent years. This show was mostly older, more obscure acoustic blues (Rev. Gary Davis, for example), performed by three consumate professionals. Another show was supposed to be first set acoustic, second electric...Jorma and Jack came out, strapped on their electrics, and never looked back...again, consumate professionals who are still having the time of their lives on stage, and it shows. They would occasionally drop a "rock bomb" (i.e. the opening bass lines to "White Rabbit") as a teaser, but they aren't rock stars anymore, and don't want to be

! Don't miss Jorma & Jack if you enjoy live music...they deliver.
