How recently was the trans rebuilt? What was replaced?

What brakes are on the car.. stock 1976 S or slightly larger SC brakes?

That year motor is the 3.0L? I assume still CIS - how about pop-off valve? How are the head studs?

I beleive the chrome trim option was part of the touring package which came with 14" wheels.. are these 14 or 15's on the car?

Paint? well.. that can be a $300 earl shieb re-do or a do it right $6k (?) redo or more!

Interior? some easy to replace (like seats, carpets and door panels) with a little work and money. headliner too? yikes.

How old are the rubber suspension components? transmission and engine mounts?

My guess is the "loss of job" price of $13,5 coincides with the most recent pile of bills. This is essentially SC or even 3.2 Carrera money.

It really sounds to me like a $7500 car despite the upgraded motor.
