Found an ad on Craigslist (no pics) advertising a "9-series" Porsche Landau, 1978. Entire car, motor/trans, not running, $1000.00 obo.
So I'm thinking...1978 9-series

Targa, right? I e-mail the owner and she replies "Come and get it. I have to get rid of this car. $500 and it's yours".
I rush over to claim my "prize", $500 in hand...only to find this:

is a "9-series" and it
is a "landau" (sorta...she couldn't afford to replace the rear window, so she had a canvas company make her a snap-top with plastic window to cover the opening).
So...I learned a lesson today. Never assume.
