I won't drink Guinness in the States. I drank allot of it while in the UK last year and I have never tasted a more smoother and creamer beer. The Brits tell me 'it doesn't travel well' and I believe it.

Packaged or off tap? IMO Guiness doesnt package well, fancy charged cans or not.
I used to work with a Belfaster out of Australia. He ONLY drank Guiness and a couple of Irish whiskies, and in a big way. He was scathing of the Foster's made Guiness in Australia, especially usually after he had returned from Ireland. We travelled to the US on one occassion and he felt the US brew was much closer to Irish.
